The Fable Boy is a fantasy console in a faithful Game Boy body, rendered in full 3D in your browser. Drag to orbit it, scroll to zoom. Everything below also works from your keyboard.
Hit the CONTROLS button on the unit to remap any key — your bindings persist on that device, so the console remembers how you like to play.
Flip the switch on top of the unit (or just open index.html). The screen warms
up to the dot-matrix boot and the cart shelf rails into view.
The carts ride a camera-locked carousel — scroll or tap the arrows to flip through twenty-six built-ins. Hover to pop one forward, click to slot it in. It boots on the spot.
Use the D-pad and A/B. Stuck on the controls? Press START for the
pause menu and pick HOW TO PLAY — every title prints its own card right on the
DMG screen.
Any game that calls fb.score(n) feeds a leaderboard. Press SELECT to
jump straight to that title's board, then enter three arcade initials on the D-pad. Boards are
global through Supabase — or local, with zero backend.
Beat your best, then beat a stranger's. The Hall of Fables tracks every title at once — built-in, homebrew, or dreamed. Care points from your Fable Pet count too.
The system shell lives behind START: CONTINUE, HOW TO PLAY, TOP SCORES, POST SCORE and RESTART CART — all rendered on the screen itself, no menus floating in 3D space.
